Fitting FAQ

The length is right, but my toes feel tight.

This is about the shape of the front of the shoe, not your size. Going up a size won't help — the shoe will just slip at the heel. Pick a style with a wider front instead. Every product page tells you its toe shape.

How do you know if you're wearing the wrong shoe size?

If you're experiencing pinching in the toes or have very little wiggle room in the toe box, you're probably wearing shoes that are too small.
If the shoe collar height is too high or there's rubbing or other irritation around the ankle, you may be wearing a size that's too big.
Your heel may also slip and move around in a shoe that's too large, or you may feel the arch support is off-centre underfoot.

How often should I measure my feet?

This completely depends on the individual, but most adults should measure their feet every year to check for any changes. Especially if you notice your size shoes are no longer comfortable. Age, weight, and health conditions can all impact foot size.

Which shoes are best for wide feet?

Ones with more room at the front. Here they are, roomiest first:

  • Square: Flat at the front. The most toe room.
  • Open toe: Your toes aren't enclosed at all.
  • Round: Rounded and comfortable. A safe everyday choice.
  • Almond: Narrows a little. Fine for most feet.
  • Pointed: Narrowest at the front. Go one size up.
Can I still wear pointed shoes with wide feet?

Yes — just go one size up. The extra length gives your toes more room at the front. The heel will feel a little looser.

Does every style fit the same?

The size chart is the same for all our shoes, but the feel is not. Toe shape, material and heel height all change how a size sits on your foot, and lengths can differ by about 3 mm between designs.
